Hope: 6 months

Sunday, July 17, 2016

Happy half birthday to our little girl! I'm in total disbelief that Hope was born six whole months ago: time is passing much too quickly.

Hope is such a smiley, happy baby! Her month included helping daddy celebrate his first Father's Day, taking her first trip to Edisto Beach, and spending her first Fourth of July on the beach. She loves to eat rice cereal for fun, sit and play in her Bumbo seat, and recently tried out the jumper. Her favorite toy is her singing cow (whose songs are perpetually stuck in our heads). She babbles all the time, drools constantly and can just about sit unassisted. She's decided that naps more than 45 minutes aren't cool and she'd like to wake up most nights to see what's going on at 4am! She's busy packing up her room for our upcoming move to Mobile and likes FaceTiming with daddy while he looks at houses.

Highlights from the last month:

At her 5 month weight check: 11 pounds, 8 ounces (right on our goal!)

In front of our current front door - this house will only be ours for a few more weeks! Bittersweet!

Trying rice cereal for the first time - and loving it!!

This smile! Swoon!

The Bumbo: her favorite spot these days.

Precious moments!

Baby friends!

Real life matches the smocking = too perfect for words!

First beach trip: Edisto Beach, SC

Bathing beauty!

Made in the shade on the beach!

Happy Independence Day!

Family beach pictures at Edisto - this is my absolute favorite!

Helping mommy and daddy celebrate 5 years of marriage on July 9!

Trying out the jumper for the first time (more interested in the toys than in jumping!)

Smart and sassy!

Hope is just too much: too much happiness, too much cuteness, too much joy. These six months have been hard at times, but worth every hard moment x 1,000; they have also held the single most joyful moments of my life and being a mommy has been even better than I could have imagined.

So blessed Hope is ours!
