Friday's Letters

Friday, April 26, 2013

Oh hey, Friday. Feels like forever since I've seen you. Well, it definitely has been forever since I've joined in on Friday's Letters. And today seems like a good day.

Photobucket

Dear job: thanks for keeping me on my toes the last several weeks that I've been flying solo in the marketing department. I have been the busiest I've ever been in the year (as of April 23) since I started, but I'm loving it! Seriously.

Dear hubs: I am growing weary of you living 3.5 hours away. At first, it was kinda exciting that we were long distance, and I'll admit it was kinda nice to have some alone time. But now, 3 months in, I'm over it. I just want to live with my husband, is that too much to ask? I know it's out of your hands right now, and I'm excited for our future, but right now I miss you allll the time.

Dear Savannah: I am excited to spend a weekend with you and stroll your pretty streets and eat your amazing food. It's been a while. You will be a nice little rendezvous for the hubs and I this weekend!

Dear pups: sorry you're at the "slammer" (aka the kennel) again this weekend. Soon enough mommy and daddy will live in the same place again...

Dear spring: yeah, I heard you started March 20 but honestly, you haven't shown your face yet. What's up with sending us residual winter temps? We've had enough of that, thanks.

Dear wardrobe: I am trying to give you an update for Spring/Summer as hard as I can, but I am just not loving the clothes in stores right now! I hate when that happens!

Dear treadmill: thanks for hanging in there and being patient while I slowly improve my endurance capabilities. I'm trying! And we're spending more time together now than we ever have before. I don't hate it.

Dear sweets: you and my dang sweet tooth are killing me. I can't quit you!!

Happy weekend!

Friday's Letters & a sneak peek

Friday, February 22, 2013

Heck yes - it's Friday! Get excited!

Photobucket

Dear Alex: I really don’t like this long-distance thing. I miss you all the time: when I wake up, when I get home from work, when I eat dinner, when I go to bed. But I am so proud of you and I know you are loving your new gig! It will lead to great things for us, I just know it.

Dear house: I am on a rampage lately, I know. But in a good way. I have the décor bug and all I want to do is update, redecorate, clean, and make you pretty!

Dear Ellie: I’m trying to be sweet to you by letting you sleep in our room about half of the nights in each week. But if you continue to wake me up 7+ times a night, I’ll be forced to leave you in your crate. You’ve been warned.

Dear Penny: sorry for letting Ellie sleep in our room…I know that’s your territory…

Dear winter: I know a lot of people are giving you a hard time already, but I’m not over you. Not yet. I know that it won’t be too long before I we’re all complaining about how hot it is.

Dear fabric store: eeeeeek! I am in love. And now that Ihave a sewing machine, you better WATCH OUT! I just wish your fabrics weren’t so expensive. Probably a good thing or I would be buying a lot more…

Dear followers: thanks for being patient with me and my lack of posts lately. Honestly, I haven’t had much to say in the past few weeks, and I don’t want to post something just to post if that makes sense. Thanks for your comments, your loyalty, and for reading – it means SO much and you make me smile!

What is everyone doing this weekend? Here is a little sneak peek of a project I am working on and hope to have completed this weekend:

Intrigued? I'll be sharing as soon as it's done! Can't wait!

Have a fabulous weekend, dears!

Friday's Letters

Friday, January 25, 2013

Short weeks are the bomb.com, am I right? It feels like the weekend was just here - but you won't hear me complain about that!

We are planning to head to my in-laws' for the weekend to celebrate the FIL's birthday and go to a family reunion on Sunday afternoon. That is, if this weird wintry weather doesn't prevent us from driving there today! The forecast for this afternoon is 80% chance of freezing rain with temps below freezing - yikes! Sounds like ideal driving conditions...or not...

When we get back on Sunday, we are going to be packing machines. We've got to get the hubby ready for Georgia, and me for Vegas!

Have a great weekend - and stay safe and warm if you are in this crazy winter storm's path!

------------

Friday's Letters!

Dear Vegas: I am so excited to meet you, finally! And I'm pretty excited I can enjoy you on the company's dime, too! Dear job: I heart you. Seriously. And not just because of Vegas. Dear carpet: I am so glad we got you cleaned this week. It's amazing how yucky you got in not even 2 years of normal, average, everyday life! Dear baby Avery: I miss you and your sweet little face. You are growing up so fast. The next time I see you (in March), you will be such a big girl! It breaks my heart that I can't see you all the time and watch you grow. Dear wardrobe: I didn't realize how boring you were until I began packing for Vegas. How old am I?? Dear Penny & Ellie: have fun at grandma and grandpa's this week! We'll see you next Friday. Please behave...Dear Husband: I can't even think about Monday. I am so sad that we will be living apart for a while, but excited about the future. It will be worth it, I know. Even though I'll see you often, I will miss you madly.

Friday's Letters

Friday, January 11, 2013

Hey Friday, hey! So glad to see you again. This week was long for a lot of reasons. For heaven's sake, my husband turned 30 this week. Which is making me think about the fact that I will be 29 in September...and 30 next year...how did this happen?!

Anyway, the Hubs and I have BIG plans this weekend. We are going to tackle a project as part of our January Challenge: the Golf Room. I am calling this weekend "Total Golf Room Domination" time. The clutter in that room is going DOWN. I'm serious. And the organized freak in me is actually excited about it. I am salivating at the thought of taking everything out the room, sorting through it, organizing it, and putting it all back in an orderly fashion. Yum. I'll post Before and Afters!

If we finish the golf room by Saturday night (doubtful, but possible), we will move on to another area - either the Study or the Garage. We shall see.

So I bet y'all are reallllllly jealous of my super-fun and amazing weekend plans, right? ;)

Now onto Friday's Letters!

Dear Hubby: 30 looks good on you! Dear paycheck: I wish you wouldn't shrink, but we have the government to thank for that. Ridiculous. Dear medical bills: WHY? Seriously, sometimes I think health insurance is a complete croc. Dear Tory Burch flats: I love you! Thanks for being significantly cheaper on eBay so I could afford you! Dear weather: what is up with you? 70 degrees+ in January? Where is the flipping snow??? Dear PTO: I am so happy to see you re-set for the new year. Dear appetite: I wish you would chill. I think part of it is due to the steroids I have to take, but seriously, you are insane lately! Dear Lord: although I know it's a promise from You, it still amazes me how you faithfully provide. Thank you for your promises.

Friday's Letters

Friday, January 4, 2013

Here are my first Friday's Letters in 2013! Here's to the first Friday of the year! And sorry for the influx of posts today: I guess I have a lot on my mind and a lot to say :)

Dear Alex: I cannot believe you are turning *30* on Monday! To me, you will always be the 24-year-old I fell in love with. I can't wait to spend the rest of your birthdays with you. Happy, happy, happy birthday, my love! Dear MIL and FIL: thank you for the IKEA gift card for Christmas!! I can't wait to get the matching chair to our sectional! Dear Christmas decorations: I have done my part by putting you into your storage boxes...now walk yourselves up to the attic, will ya? Dear Lilly Pulitzer New Year Cheer sale: thanks for coming right when I needed you - and when I had some Christmas money to spend. I heart you and your amazing customer service. Dear Besties: I know I just saw you last week but I miss you so much already. March is too far away!! Dear Valentine's Day stuff in stores: not gonna lie, I love you, even if it is January 4th. I really love V-Day. I'm trying to wait to purchase some conversation hearts for another few weeks but they are so tempting! Dear weekend: hellllllllllo, lover.

Friday's Letters: Christmas edition

Friday, December 21, 2012

Friday has finally arrived! Let the trumpets resound! This week has seriously crept by so slowly, y'all. I know I'm not alone in this because I could practically feel the productivity of my co-workers declining as the week progressed, ha! I know I'm just excited for a little friend and family time/vacay from work, but DANG the days sure did creep this week!

We are hitting the road for Florida today as soon as work shuts down...which I'm hoping will be a little earlier than normal, since it is the last workday before Christmas and everything. The sooner I can leave work, the sooner I will get to Gainesville, FL to see my besties and squeeze baby Avery! Yippee!

And here are my letters for the day - my Christmas letters, if you will:

Dear Santa: all I want for Christmas is a plan for 2013. Or a crystal ball. You know what I'm talking about. Some clarity. A lot of things are up in the air right now, and with me being such a planner and all, it's driving me insane.

Dear husband: ditto.*wink*

Dear Erin Condren: I know you say that my 2013 Life Planner won't ship until the 26th, but that means I may not get it until January and I am going through withdrawals of not being able to write in my planner. I need that planner now.

Dear Casual Friday: as if right on cue when I posted this entry yesterday, I got an email that today would be casual Friday at work! So thanks for coming around and allowing me to bust out the jeans and boots combo on this very chilly first day of winter!

Dear traffic: please, oh please, be kind to us today, tomorrow, and Wednesday as we travel. We just want to get where we're going and get there safely.

Dear blog friends: Merry Christmas to you! I hope Santa brings you what you want, you eat too much delicious food, and have too much fun with your loved ones! And I can't wait to read all about it next week!

Dear South Florida: it's so like you to have a projected high of 80 degrees on Christmas Day on the year we'll be there. Thanks...not.

Dear Heavenly Father: thank you for everything, everyday - but thank you especially for the gift of your Son. Help me to remember the reason we celebrate this season and not get lost in it all.

Friday's Letters

Friday, December 7, 2012

I'm back on this link-up again - Happy Friday, y'all!

Photobucket

Dear Alex: I love our life together. I love that you can bring a voice of reason when I get too stressed. I love that you can keep things fun and light when I get too serious. I love that you complement every part of me.
Dear brother: I am so proud of you for starting a new job and taking the plunge into adulthood. I hope you're loving your boat captaining gig and your new place!
Dear Christmas: you're getting close! I need to get down to business and really prepare for your arrival.
Dear Hemoglobin level: why so low? You're freaking me out. An iron transfusion doesn't sound like fun, so thanks a lot!
Dear weather: could you possibly get a little more Christmas-y? 70 degrees in December sounds nice in theory, but I would love some chilly temps so I can bust out the heavy coats.
Dear Christmas Bonus: Heck yes! You are my first Christmas bonus ever and I am very excited to meet you!

This weekend, we've got lots to look forward to! Tonight is my office's holiday party. Since this is my first Christmas at my job, this will be my first holiday party with my company, and I'm super excited. I work with some fun peeps and it's at a great restaurant downtown. I love any reason to get all dressed up and festive!

Tomorrow will be a day to get things done! Penny is in desperate need of a haircut, so she is going to the groomer in the morning. I need to make a dash around town to grab a few Christmas gifts, then I plan on doing some wrapping. In the evening, Alex and I have a very fun, very Christmas date night planned: we are going to High Cotton, our favorite restaurant, and then we have tickets for the Nutcracker ballet!

On Sunday, we'll go to church (it's the second Sunday in Advent), and probably try to get a few more Christmas errands done. We need to figure out what to get both of our dads - shopping for men is so hard! And then maybe we'll watch some Christmas movies. We haven't really had time yet to watch any of the usual suspects, like Home Alone, Elf and my all-time fave, Love Actually. Those 3 are musts!

What do you have planned for the weekend?

Have a fantastic weekend, loves!

Friday's Letters

Friday, November 16, 2012

Ahhhh...Friday is here once again. And doesn't it feel good?

I do hope that you have some fun weekend plans lined up - or just a weekend full of R&R. I have a little bit of both on the books. I am heading to mom's mountain house to see her and my stepdad today after work, while Alex is  heading to Columbia to watch Gamecock basketball tonight and football tomorrow. Then he'll head to the mountain house on Saturday. I'm planning to take our Christmas card pictures while we're up there this weekend -  hoping for good weather and puppies that cooperate! :) It should be a pretty relaxing weekend which is what I need after a week of feeling miserable. Plus, a girl's never too old for some mommy time, right?

I love this link-up and I've been out of the loop on it the last few weeks - so today I'm back!

Photobucket

Dear husband: thank you for being so patient and understanding this week as I have felt so horrible. Thank you for babying me a little - it's just what I needed. I hope to feel much better soon and then I promise I'll start cooking dinner again! :) Dear work potluck: can't wait to dig in today! Let the holiday eating gorging begin! I just hope my stomach cooperates since I haven't really been able to eat this week. Dear Christmas list: I need to add to you (for others, not for myself!). Why is it so hard to figure out what to buy certain people?? I can't buy the gifts until I know what to buy. Grrrrrr. Dear ulcers: just stop. Please. Dear custom Christmas card companies: I am overwhelmed by the options out there. Do I go with traditional? Modern? Single picture? Multiple pictures? Chevron? Polka-dots? Stripes? Yikes! Dear DIY Advent calendar: I have had you in my head for a year now. I just want you to turn out the way I've envisioned...k? Dear Target: I like the new Black Friday ads with the couple...but I miss the crazy bargain lady from the last few years. She was totes ridic and I loved her. Dear Erin Condren: can't you just have a sale on your planners already? I am desperately needing a 2013 planner, but can't bring myself to shell out $50 for one. I'm going to need a deal like I got last year. Dear followers: I hope you have one amazing Thanksgiving on Thursday -- and don't think twice about getting seconds (or thirds).

Friday's Letters

Friday, November 2, 2012

Whoop - it's Friday! This week has seemed long to me at times, and has seemed to fly at times, making it a confusing one. Do you ever have weeks like that? Nonetheless, I am excited it's Friday! We have some plans with friends we haven't hung with in a while, so I'm pumped about that. Happy (almost) weekend!

Linking up today with Ashley for Friday's Letters!

Dear husband: you rocked your first month on the job and shattered your own goals as well as your boss's goals for you. Well done, love! So proud of you. Dear Lesley: I miss you and baby Avery SO MUCH! I wish I could see you both everyday. Dear Lindsey: you will find him. Promise. Dear punk trick-or-treaters: thank for leaving your candy wrappers in my flower pot! Your parents should be ashamed. Dear November: I think you're one of  my favorite months, because you have Thanksgiving, the weather is consistently cool, and you officially usher in the Christmas season (when appropriate - after TG!). Dear Gators: last weekend sucked, boys. But I have to say - we're doing better than I expected this year! Now let's win out! :) Dear followers: thanks, really - you don't know how excited I get when I see that I have a new follower! Thanks so much for reading!

Have a very lovely Friday!

Friday's Letters

Friday, October 12, 2012

TGIF, my friends! I've been in Atlanta the last two days for work - it was really good, really informative, and really productive but my brain is tired! And we went out last night, so my body is tired too!

Tonight we are doing a Halloween Wine Tour in NC: not really sure what to expect but it sounds like fun. We have a few other fun things planned and will be spending the weekend at mom's mountain house, so I'm looking forward to it.

And one more [kinda extremely important] thing: my best friend Lesley is going to be induced on Sunday with her first baby! She is not due until the 29th, but the baby has intrauterine growth disorder, which means she has basically stopped growing in the womb and there's no point in her staying in there, since she is technically full term now. So the world will get to meet her 2 weeks earlier than planned. I am so excited, but so sad that I can't be in FL to experience everything with Lesley. I am praying everything goes well and easily and that little Avery is perfect and healthy!

-------------

Of course, I'm linking up again this week for Friday's Letters!

Photobucket

Dear Sarah: Eeek! Baby #2 is here!! I can still remember when you told me you were going to have baby #1 - and look at your family now! I can't wait to meet your sweet new addition. Dear Lesley: you're having precious, tiny Avery on Sunday! I cannot believe you're going to be a mother in about 48 hours. I pray for an easy, swift delivery and a healthy baby Avery! Dear wine tour: hope I don't overdo it on the tastings tonight - I don't need to wake up with a wine hangover tomorrow. Dear mountain house/Happy Place: can't wait to spend the weekend with you and your gorgeous views. Dear apples: okay, seriously now. I am going to pick you this weekend, I swear. I know I've said this for 3 Fridays now, but dang it, apple picking will go down this weekend. Dear husband: I have missed you these last 2 days! Can't wait to see you this afternoon. Dear followers: thank you SO MUCH for all your sweet comments and for your support! It makes me smile every single time I see that I have a new follower or read one of your comments. Keep it coming, lovelies!

I hope you all have a great Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

Friday's Letters + my weekend plans

Friday, October 5, 2012

I am so glad today is Friday! I mentioned in my last post that my Mom and step-dad are closing on their mountain house today, aka my new Happy Place, so I'm pretty dang excited about that! We're planning to drive up the road to the new place after work today to help them unpack and get settled in.

Tomorrow, we are going to a wedding in NC. The bride is like a cousin to me: our dads went to college together, so we have grown up together and our families are tight. I'm excited to see this group of special family friends this weekend and hey, everyone loves a wedding!

On Sunday, I am going apple picking. I don't care if I have to go by myself, I am going! With last weekend's yuckiness and subsequent high from all the medications I was on (and thus missing out on apple picking festivities), I plan to make up for it this Sunday. Dare me not to.

I'm linking up again this week with Adventures of Newlyweds for Friday's Letters.

Photobucket

Dear Friday: thanks for coming around again. It hasn't been a bad week at all, just kinda slow. I appreciate you showing your face. Dear Mom and Dave: congrats on the house closing! I can't wait to make memories there. Dear mountains: I am SO glad we will have a place to come and visit all your beauty more often. Dear apples: be afraid. Be very afraid. Dear brother: I hope you survived your week on the AT. Can't wait to see you tomorrow and I'm sure you're excited to bathe. Yuck. Dear husband: you are killing it at the new job, just like I knew you would. Congrats honey! Keep it up.

Friday's Letters

Friday, September 28, 2012

Hey there - we made it to Friday! I really can't complain, I've had a pretty laid-back week. You know how some weeks are crazy and you feel like you don't even have time to pee, and then some weeks you can actually cross everything off your to-do list? Mine has been more like the latter, thankfully. I can always appreciate a week like that because then you don't have to play catch-up on the weekend!

We are going to be in town this weekend, yay! Last one in town for several weeks, but that's okay. Lots to look forward to!

Photobucket

Dear little brother: I'm excited to see you tonight and this weekend! But PLEASE be careful hiking the AT this week. I hope you packed your Bear Scare. Dear stomach pains: why, why, WHY?? Please leave me the heck alone! Can't you just react to one of the many medications we've tried over the last year already? Dear Mom: thanks for your donation of your Southwest Rapid Rewards points to buy our return flights for my Reunion weekend. You are the BEST! Dear closet: you are depressing me lately. I know this isn't what you really are (completely anyway), but all I see is the same old sweaters I've had for a few years now and jeans that I cannot wear to work. I guess I'll have to go shopping...Dear Sunday: please don't rain too much, k? In case you haven't heard, it's apple picking day and it's kinda a big deal. Dear husband: YAY for your training ending today! Come home already! Your girls are missing you BIG TIME!

Have a fantastic weekend!

DC for the weekend + Friday's Letters

Friday, September 21, 2012

Looking forward to a weekend in our Nation's Capital!

Tonight we are heading up to DC for the weekend and I'm super pumped. The last time I was there, I was 14 and on my 8th grade field trip. Somehow I think I will be seeing the city in a completely different light now...

The reason for the quick trip? Alex has training for his new job in Baltimore next week, and we have been talking about taking a little trip to DC for a while now. We're both museum nerds, and Alex is a major history buff. But if I want to be honest, the real reason we're going is because the Redskins game is at home this week, and A is a huge 'Skins fan. So there you have it!

We get in late tonight, so we'll probably just have time for some late night food and a few drinks. We'll really only have Saturday to explore, sight see, and - most importantly - eat. I've gotten some great recommendations on restaurants and, uh, wow, I might come home unable to wear pants. Everything sounds so delicious. Sunday will be dedicated to the tailgating and football, then I fly home and leave my man up there for his training!

And onto Friday's Letters with Adventures of Newlyweds!

Photobucket

Dear DC: prepare yourself. I am coming and I'm hungry. My husband and I are looking for a good time, mmmmkay?  Georgetown Cupcakes: I adore your show. And you decorate your cupcakes really, really cute. So I'd love it if your lines were not super-duper long this weekend...  Dear Ellie: I still feel guilty for not knowing your birthday was last Friday until 2 days later. But happy birthday, sweet puppy!  Dear Revolution: I think I like you? I'm a hard one to win over on new TV series, especially anything remotely near sci-fi. But you left me with a lot of questions and I can't stop thinking about you!  Dear new followers: welcome and thank you! Really, thank you. It means a lot :)  Dear Gators: just keep winning! We have a long, hard road ahead of us this year, but you're off to a great start.  Dear Study: you're looking good with your new desk. I think the hubs is digging you, too. Which is good since you are now his home office. Dear husband: congrats on wrapping up your first week at the new job! I love you!
Dear Fall: as of tomorrow, officially, welcome!

Hope you all have one fantastic weekend!

Weekend Plans & Friday's Letters

Friday, September 14, 2012

I don't know about you, but this week has c r e p t by for me. I guess it was the two 4-day work weeks I had in a row that spoiled me? Don't know. Anyway, today is FRIDAY so that is something to get excited about for sure!

This weekend, we have a few little social outings on our calendar. I am helping to host a baby shower this afternoon for a sweet friend and former co-worker. It's her second baby, and she's having another precious little girl almost exactly 2 years after her first! In terms of seasonal clothing, how lucky can you get?? (I always think about the practical side of things like that...)

On Saturday, we are heading to Columbia for the South Carolina game. It's a 7pm kick-off, thank goodness, because even with the lovely weather we've had lately, day games are generally just not as much fun, you know what I'm sayin'? I am going to sport my cute new garnet and black chevron dress that is exactly like the orange and blue dress I wore to the Gator game a few weeks ago. If it works, it works, am I right?

Sunday will be the day we get our home office all situated, since Alex will be working from home quite a bit in his new job. We already had a whitewash desk and bookshelves in our Study, but we wanted to add another (larger) desk for all his work stuff. You know, so he can stay organized. That makes me giggle...if there's one thing he struggles with, it's organization. But I'm willing to give him the tools! So we bought this corner desk from Pottery Barn
(squee!! I have been lusting over it for some time now):

It probably will never look anywhere near as perfect in our house as it does in the PB catalog (does it ever?!). The real trick will be fitting it into the room with all of our existing furniture, as it's a little larger than anticipated. But hey! Just more room for Alex to use in getting all organized and everything. [stay tuned to see if that happens...love you, honey!]

Anyhoo, lots to look forward to this weekend!
It's the freakin' weekend, baby I'm about to have me some fun!
 (remember that jam?)

It's also time for Friday's Letters!

Photobucket

Dear Alex: I hope you enjoy this weekend - your last before you start your job next week! I'm excited and nervous for you but know you will do great. Dear beautiful new desk: please fit in the study. Dear mother nature: thank you for this gorgeous weather you have been showing lately! But why do I have the sneaking suspicion that you will throw us at least one more heat wave before fall really arrives? Dear furbabies: with Daddy's new job, you are going to be home alone...all day...everyday. I'm really sorry about that. I feel bad thinking about it. Dear job: I really, really do love you. You have been such a blessing in so many ways! Dear chambray shirt: so glad I found you, dear! Who knew you (or one of your cousins) would be so difficult to track down and purchase? Dear tailgate drinks, dips, snacks et al: Tomorrow, we meet again. I will try to resist you, so please respect my wishes and try not to tempt me with your highly caloric but mighty tasty selves.

What are your plans for the weekend?
Have a great one, peeps!

Friday's Letters

Friday, September 7, 2012

Wow...I can't believe it's Friday already! This week flew for me. Just a perk of having Monday off. I have a great appreciation for national holidays that fall on Monday (unlike the Fourth of July this year...Wednesday?? Bleh).

Anyway, it's time for Friday's Letters!

Photobucket

Dear Friday: thank you for being you. You're pretty awesome. Dear Pottery Barn: why must thou tempt thee with everything in thy catalogs? I freaking love you and your overpriced decor. Dear bed: I am looking forward to spending more hours with you tonight than I have in a long time. Dear calorie counter app: sometimes I just want to delete you. But it's best if I don't. Dear Ellie: please don't wake up too early tomorrow, k? Mommy wants to sleep in. Dear Penny: you look like a little lion right now with your hair all crazy and shiz. I like it but you're getting groomed on Monday, ya hear? Dear DNC: glad you're over...let's just get on with this election, please? Dear treadmill: sorry if you haven't felt the love this week. I just haven't felt like giving it. Dear New Followers: YAY! Thanks for the follow! I hope I am entertaining enough to keep you, well, entertained :)  Dear husband: So excited about your good news this week! I love you! I'm super pumped for you and for us!!

Friday's Letters

Friday, August 31, 2012

Photobucket

Dear Lesley: I can't wait to see you and your baby bump this weekend. It makes me a little sad that this will be the last time I will see you before you are a MOM! Life is changing and it's so exciting! Dear Lindsey: I can't wait to see your new place and meet your new roomies! Dear Mom: I can't believe you slipped and broke your arm this week. Poor Mommy. As someone who has broken both arms, I definitely feel your pain. Dear husband: You are thisclose to what you want and I couldn't be prouder of you. Dear Gainesville: I'm coming home! Dear Penny and Ellie: please be good little passengers on the trip this weekend and please behave yourselves at Aunt Lesley's. Dear birthday: thanks for coming around again on Monday - while I'm thankful you're here (it beats the alternative), can we stop counting after next year? Dear Lord: thank you for loving me, for forgiving me, and for blessing me far beyond what I deserve. God is so good.

Friday's Letters

I'm on a roll...here's another link-up: Friday's Letters from Adventures of Newlyweds!

Dear friends: I'm excited for a fun weekend at the lake and making memories. I hope we wear enough sunscreen and don't drink toooo much wine! Dear husband: I love you and I am so proud of you for all the effort you are putting forth right now for your career. It is all going to pay off! Dear Ellie: I know you are technically still a puppy and all but must you slam into me at 35 MPH while I am sitting and relaxing on the couch? Dear office building: WHY do you freeze me out? Yes, it's August and hot outside but that doesn't mean it has to be slightly above freezing inside. Dear 28: I see you - you are creeping up on me and are about to pounce. I will make the most of my last 10 days as a 27-year-old! Dear college football: I love you and I can't wait to spend my Saturdays with you starting in just 8 days. It's been too long, my friend.

Happy Friday!
