Keep it coming, love! (Don't stop it now, don't stop it no)

Keep it coming, love! Keep it coming, love!
Don't stop it now, don't stop it, no, don't stop it now, don't stop!

Don't know about all my Lilly ladies out there, but i can't get this song outta my head since first seeing the Lilly for Target tv spot earlier this week! Who else is dreaming of affordable Lilly? And who else is slightly freaking out about the possibility of a sellout in like 5 minutes? Better get your game faces on, ladies.

Here's my list of must-haves from the Lilly for Target collection!

One. See Ya Later shift, $38
I love that they chose a gator print for this collab! As a Gator girl, Lilly's gator prints are a collector's item for me. This is my #1 must get and I will be super sad if I can't get one! (Or have to pay a scalper on eBay)

Two. Swimsuits, $24-40
I love these three suits. I'll be honest: I haven't purchased a one piece since probably middle school. But these are adorable. If I can, I'm going to get more than one since I can't make up my mind anyway (you can always return...but beware, there's only a 14-day return window for Lilly for Target!)

Three. Shoes, $30-38
Love these pineapple sandals and the gold wedges. I have a few pairs of Lilly shoes and love them all, so I'm hoping these will be similar!

Four. Nosey Posie canvas shopping tote, $15
A Lilly tote for under $20? Yes please ma'am.

Five. Throw pillows, $25
Husband's just gonna have to deal with some pink. These are so cute for spring and summer, and y'all know how I feel about throw pillows!

So what's my strategy? I've heard the online store will be up around 3am Sunday morning, so I plan to setting my alarm for about that time (there's no way I can stay up until then!). Then I want to head into my local Target early Sunday to check out the other pieces in person - or fight for the items I want if I don't get them online!

Best of luck, ladies! Can't wait to see everyone's haul!

Five colorful outfits for Spring

Friday, March 6, 2015

Who else is pumped for the time change this weekend?? Yes, my fiends: Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday morning. The extra hour of sunshine will be SO wonderful - I'm looking forward to leaving work in the daylight!

In the spirit of springtime (even though the weather doesn't feel so springy right now), I put together these ensembles. Won't be long now before it's time for pastels, prints and cheery pieces.

One. Nothing says Spring like Lilly

A Lilly Spring

Face it: no one does spring like Lilly Pulitzer. I love this dress - I've seen it with tights, a vest and boots, and with Jacks and a Murphee scarf. I need to get my hands on one!

Two. Flare jeans are BACK

I mean, allegedly they are. I don't make the rules. All I know is they are so flattering and while I love my skinnies, flares are so fun to wear and make your legs look so long.

Three. Wedding season is upon us!

Springtime wedding

At least it is for us in the South. I hope it's not quite wedding season for my friends in the North with all that snow on the ground. I'm hunting a dress like this for my cousin's wedding in Florida at the end of April.

Four. Work wardrobe needs an update

Work Basics

After wearing lots of layers all winter and nothing but black pants and wedges, my cardigans, black slacks and shoes are worn out. Currently hunting a new go-to pair of work pants and comfy black wedges that I can wear all day. And I've heard charm bracelets are back, which is cool since I'm fairly certain I still have a few from high school somewhere.

Five. Rainy days ahead

Professional Rainy Day

Now that I have my Hunters, I'm looking for ways to wear them even when I need to look polished for work. I'm in love with this shirt and scarf combo! Now if it would just rain :)

Now I'm ready to bust out the spring clothes and go shopping! Happy weekend!

5 outfits for summer

Friday, June 6, 2014

I'm not sure about where you are, but here in Columbia, SC, the summer heat is full-on. No stopping summer now - nope, she's here and she's hot.

Over Memorial Day weekend, I did some shopping to update my summer apparel, but there are still a few pieces that I'd like to add. Last summer, I didn't buy hardly any summer pieces since we were moving. I was more in a "If I don't love it, get rid of it" mode. So maybe that's why I'm craving some new additions to ye olde summer wardrobe this year.

Here's what I'm lusting after (if only that dang A/C unit hadn't busted - I'd have a lot more money in my clothing fund right now!)

One. I am obsessed with these Lilly Pulitzer beach pants! They look so comfy and anything Lilly is up my alley. I just need to figure out which print I want...which is, of course, the hard part.

Two. I need some neon! Neon takes me back to first-ish grade (circa 1991), so for the nostalgia alone, I dig it.

Three. I want a new maxi, and this one is gorgeous. It's classy and fun and summery and nautical all rolled into one (so, basically perfect).

Four. What summer wardrobe is complete without a bathing suit? I haven't bought a new suit in nearly 3 years (since buying for my Honeymoon!), so it's time to refresh the swimsuit drawer.

Monogrammed Beach Day

Five. I love tunics - I can't get enough. They're flattering, comfortable, and easy to wear to work, to dinner, to the beach, to Target, etc. What's not to love?

And there you have it: the missing pieces to my perfect summer closet!

Have one wonderful weekend!
